Extraordinary Mind Project has changed my way of thinking and seeing in a HUGE way… I now truly know that anything is possible when you set your mind to it!
I think back to my first day at EMP when I wrote down my intentions. My confidence was low and the idea of having my own exhibition was a ‘someday’ dream. It’s hard to remember feeling this way when I look at how far I have come.
Well, I opened my first solo exhibition 8 months later and it was amazing….. I can’t express in words how special that experience was to me!
Since my solo exhibition, I have been involved in 7 group exhibitions, I have sold artwork to friends and strangers, and my confidence is still growing.
I still have a long way to go to reach my ultimate intention of painting for a living, but EMP has proven that this is SO possible….the mind is a powerful thing FULL of possibilities!
In the beginning EMP was a way to better my drawing.
But when I look back at the progress I have made since completing the course, I realize that it has helped me in so many other ways….from how I see light and shade, to my confidence, to my health and well-being and my sense of belonging in the art world.
Doors have opened, I have met some fantastic ‘arty’ people and I will continue to grow and learn by immersing myself in paint!
